Gum disease is a chronic disease of the tooth supporting tissues which is difficult for you to notice. You should initiate a check up of your gum condition at the dentist.
Gum disease is caused by the accumulation of dental plaque at the gumline of the teeth, resulting in the symptoms of gum inflammation, bleeding gums and bad breath etc. In its serious stage, the affected tooth will gradually lose its bone support and will eventually fall out.
To prevent gum disease, clean your teeth thoroughly with daily flossing.
