Our Good Friend - the Dentist

給家長的話 幼兒到牙科診所時，常常表現不安和恐懼，原因大都由於害怕面對陌生的人和事，例如牙科醫生、牙科診所及接受牙齒檢查等。為了幫助孩子消除這些感覺，我們編寫了「我們的好朋友-牙科醫生」故事書，希望籍著陽日和陽月見牙科醫生的愉快經驗，使孩子對牙科醫生產生良好的印象。這樣，孩子日後便會懷著喜悅及期待的心情見牙科醫生，接受專業的口腔護理和照顧。 因此，我們呼籲家長每年帶孩子往見牙科醫生最少一次，請他們從小養成定期檢查牙齒的習慣，使他們跟牙科醫生建立良好關係，以確保孩子擁有口腔健康。我們希望你的孩子愛讀這本故事書，並祝願他們一生擁有陽光的笑容。 在此，我們要向幼兒教育專家陳莉莉博士致謝。她在我們創作這個故事的整個過程中給予許多寶貴的意見及建議。 To Parents Young children tend to be very nervous at their visits to the dentists. They are mostly fear of the uncertainties at the clinic: the dentist, the environment, the dental examination, etc. To allay this anxiety, we developed this picture book, "Our Good Frind - the Dentist" for them. We hope that through the pleasant dental visit experience of Sunny and Morris, children would likewise, look forward to their own dental visits as they have become familiar with the dentist and his workplace. We urge parents to take your children to the dentist for dental check-ups at least once a year. This helps establish a good relationship with the dentist in their tender age. At the same time children are nurtured for regualr dental care by the professional in order to guarantee a lifetime of oral health. We hope your children would enjoy reading this book and we wish them a generation of brighter smiles. Mum and Dad went cycling with him. They had a good time.
