Loose teeth, difficult to chew

Teeth would not fall out even in old age if people protect their teeth properly. Severe periodontal disease (gum disease) is the most common cause of loosening of the teeth which makes chewing difficult. If people ignore the symptoms of periodontal disease (gum disease) and take no notice of the importance of the removal of dental plaque, gum inflammation will worsen. The supporting tissue and bone will also be affected. The teeth will gradually lose their support and become loose. Eventually, the loose teeth may fall off.
