Highlights of the “TEENS Teeth Award Scheme 2023-24”

Online Leadership Training Programme

The selected schools are required to nominate approximately 20 students from S1 to S6 to participate in the programme. Upon completion of the training, these students will become "Peer Leaders" (PLs) and will lead their fellow schoolmates in participating in an activity aimed at promoting oral health.

The training programme includes comprehensive online training, which involves a 2.5-hour live training session of core courses through virtual conferencing, as well as pre-recorded elective courses. All courses will be conducted online, and students can complete the training at their own pace.

Free training and resources provided by the Oral Health Education Division

The training will cover oral health knowledge, proper oral care techniques, as well as leadership skills through online courses. The training will be provided free of charge, and will equip the PLs with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively lead their fellow schoolmates in promoting oral health.

Coordination and communication roles of teachers

The teachers-in-charge are expected to encourage the nominated students to complete the training courses. Their guidance and support will be crucial in ensuring the smooth implementation of the programme and the achievement of its objectives.
